The Big Island Babes is PRG's co-ed junior roller derby league, open to children ages 7-17.   Junior roller derby provides youth with a healthy and fun way to exercise and builds self-esteem.  Our goals are to advanced the growth of roller derby and to nurture bold, self-confident youth by developing teamwork and athletic ability.

 

We welcome skaters of all abilities, treasuring diversity and celebrating individuality.

 

Come to FreeSkate Fridays at Wainaku Gym from 6-8pm and ask a derby girl or DJ Killah more about joining the Babes!  Check out the Big Island Babes Facebook page for more information about the league and upcoming events.

 

The Big Island Babes are starting their Fall 2015 season Sunday Aug. 16 which runs through Sunday November 22.
Practices run Sundays Noon-2pm at Wainaku Gym.  (No practices on holidays & Paradise Roller Girls' event weekends.)

All skill levels welcome! We will teach you everything you need to know to get skating!

Bring: 
Water bottle
Socks
Your skate gear - skates, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards.
If you needed to borrow safety gear & skates, we have limited supply you can borrow until you can get your own set.
Skaters will be NO CONTACT until pass JRDA Minimum Skills Test.
