Participants will not be discriminated against based on their race, national origin, ethnic background, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability or medical condition, religion, income, veteran status, weight or skill level. Everyone can participate in some capacity.
Skaters
PRG is open to EVERYONE ages 12 and older. Roller derby is a full-contact sport so all skating participants are required to carry health insurance and have appropriate protective gear. People under the age of 18 are considered "Jr. Derby". While Jr. Derby skaters train alongside adults, PRG follows WFTDA guidelines for leveling Jr. skaters up gradually based on skill level, parental permission, and other considerations.
PRG holds Rookie Camps each season. Skaters of every shape, size, age, and ability are invited to come and learn the basics. Accommodations may be made for new skaters who are unable to attend a Rookie Camp.
Reffing / NSOing
Do you want to wear a whistle and call the shots? Or get close to the action while still wearing your slippahs? PRG would love to hear from you! We are looking for Referees, Scorekeepers, Penalty Timers, and more.
No experience required, can be male or female, all ages are welcome. Just bring your love of derby and we will teach you the rest! Email us at paradiserollergirls@gmail.com for more information.
