Paradise Roller Girls are currently working on the following community initiatives:
Junior Derby
The Paradise Roller Girls aim to provide a postive and fun environment for girls and young women to boost self-esteem, encourage sportswomanship and leadership skills, and promote healthy lifestyles through the sport of roller derby. The age of eligibility is 7-17. Those interested can e-mail junior_derby@paradiserollergirls.com.
Hilo Skateplaza Coalition
The Paradise Roller Girls are actively involved in the Hilo Skateplaza Coalition effort to develop a fun, family-friendly environment for skateboarders, roller skaters, roller bladers and roller hockey enthusiasts on the Big Island. We are working hard with the Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation to bring this dream to fruition. Through fundraising, the Paradise Roller Girls hope to help this project advance, providing our community an exciting venue that promotes exercise and healthy lifestyles as well as unity among area residents.
