Volcano 4th of July Parade

Category: General

The Paradise Roller Girls turned out to share in the patriotic festivities and rocked the Volcano Town Fourth of July Parade.  From the Volcano Post Office to the Cooper Center, these beautifully bedecked derby dames wowed the crowd with their skating skills, coordinated falls and sliding stunts. Several non-skating members proudly carried the Paradise Roller Girls' banner and schmoozed the onlookers, passing out candy to future junior derby girls and fans as well as recruitment flyers for referees and officials.

As the team made their way to the end of the parade at Cooper Center, they started a conga line skating several laps in one giant circle to cheers and whistles of the spectators.  At the announcer's booth they staged a mini jam, wooing the crowd and finished the parade at the firehouse with a photo op with none other than Smokey the Bear!
